Trial
That word causes apprehension and outright fear for most folks.
In Maine, about 97% of criminal cases are resolved without trials. That being said, when you chose an attorney to represent you in an OUI or any other criminal case, you must have confidence that your lawyer will be prepared to try your case and that your lawyer has the ability to win.
If you have been charged, you should “shop around”; talk to a number of lawyers. ASK QUESTIONS!
Make sure the lawyer to whom you pay your hard earned money has the ability to win at trial if it comes down to that. There are no guarantees in our criminal justice system. But, you owe it to yourself to give yourself the best opportunity to win.
Check out some of our sample cases that went to trial at OUI Case Results. “Shop around”, but ASK QUESTIONS!!!!
